Viola Davis said, “Every little thing in my life is to be celebrated.” Life should not be measured only by our greatest achievements, the size of our bank accounts, the number of likes, the size of our house. It should be the sum of everything that has led to our reaching those accomplishments and becoming our best selves. Sometimes we… Read More
Impacting Others Along The Way
I had a friend say to me the other day “I don’t know what my legacy will be? How I will be remembered when I am gone?” Most of us wonder about the same thing. Why are we put here on this earth? It is not just about having your name on a building or having viral videos or posts on the internet or sending rockets to the moon, To me it is about in how you interact with and have an impact on the people around you. Your legacy can be found in the impact you made by reaching out to others even just one other person because if you impact that person’s life for the better it can have a cascading effect.
I would like to share some of my experiences in mentoring and reaching out to others and how it comes back to you in ways you never would have dreamed of thereby enriching your own life as well. By sharing those experiences we continue to enrich each other’s lives and inspire others to do the same.

The Movement of Water Is Like the Movement of Life
The events of the past week have taken many of us back to the marches of the 60’s where the Civil Rights Movement was at its strongest. The things we thought should have been resolved then seem only to have been repeating themselves with no solution. It was as if history had to repeat itself over and over again because… Read More
The Difficult Times We Are Living In
It has been a weird two weeks or so for me, so I have not been as diligent about my posting – something I plan to correct immediately. Like many people, life has been not been normal or easy. I decided to follow my own advice and gave myself time to be anxious, introspective, and even sad. The anxiousness was… Read More
