The New Year is here! Throw out the resolutions! Throw out the diets! Throw out the plans for everything you want to change about you in the New Year! You have been working on you for a long time. It is time to exhale and run into the new year with arms wide open to embrace every single moment coming to you. Some times you have to stand still and just look around yourself for a few minutes to really see how fabulous you really are. The best way to approach the New Year is to continue to live your best life. By that I mean really LIVE! It’s simple.
L is for laughter. Each and every day laugh a little or a lot. Laugh at yourself. Laugh with your friends. Laugh at the absurd and the ridiculous. Life is too short to take it all so seriously plus it has been proven that laughter relieves stress, lowers your blood pressure, helps you connect with others and lots more. Go for it! Have a good laugh everyday.
I is for invite. Make the choice to close the door on people, events or things that take the joy out of your life. Choose instead to invite positive people, positive thoughts, love, friendship and success into your life. It may take work but it will be so worth it.
V is for vulnerable. Vulnerability can provide for you an opportunity to grow and get rid of things in your past that are holding you back. While opening yourself up to others without worrying about being judged can be scary it can also be empowering and healing. What you gain by doing so can make the difference between moving forward or staying stuck. Take the risk.
E is for enjoy! It is said so often that it almost sounds trite but still remains true. In the grand span of time, life is short. We don’t get back the moments we missed so we need to make the most of every single moment we are given.
This new year is a gift and so are the people who surround us and lift us in love and friendship. Find those people and hold them close. Even if you think they are not there – they really are! Try laughing, inviting, being vulnerable and letting go so you can begin living in the 2019! Happy New Year!!!
