Do I look worried? Ok, I was a little worried about taking a step back – that dark line looks like just seaweed but could be a deep section, or snakes hiding or creatures . . . see what happens?
It’s a constant battle – the battle against worry especially when the worry is about things much more serious than how deep the water is. But if you don’t fight the worry it will consume you. It will win paralyze you so that you don’t appreciate the present because you are focused on the “what if’s” and revising the script for a future over which you have no control. I know it is extremely difficult to do and at times impossible but we must focus on what we can control – that over which we have power.
Instead of trying to do solve that which you are worrying about all at one time you may need to divide the problem into smaller steps so that at each successful move forward you make the sense of achievement can boost your confidence in your ability to reach your ultimate goal. Every day know that you can do this and seek out friends, family, information, organizations – anything and anyone who can help you find what you need so you can find a way forward and celebrate each day.
