Have you ever felt that you are going through life playing a part someone else has scripted for you? Each day you open the script and prepare to live the next scene. Put on the outfit, put on a smile and then go through the day as if the cameras were rolling.
When we are younger we play a part without even realizing it. Your parents, your teachers, your siblings, people you don’t even know well are always telling you what to do – and for the most part you do it. It becomes almost robotic, mindless – like we would think of doing nothing different.
It’s not always easy but there comes a time when you need to write your own script. There may be a level of comfort and safety following someone else’s script for your life but that’s the easy way. Life isn’t supposed to be easy.
We can make it exciting and unpredictable by challenging ourselves to find our own path. If being the fourth lawyer in the family really makes your heart flutter and keeps you smiling – go for it. If not search deep inside and find that one thing or things that will ignite your passion and keep you fueled with endless energy so that each day becomes something you can’t wait to start.
