As August comes to an end so does Black Business Month but why does it have to be only a month? We can support black-owned businesses as we do any other business all year round. The designation was intended to put a spotlight on those businesses so that we can know who and where they are and support them all year round.
FKSP by Folake Kuye, a Nigerian, woman-owned business. Her factory is located in the heart of the LA Fashion District and each garment is creative, chic, classic and timeless. But not to worry, if you cannot go there in person, the clothes are available online through her website https://shopfksp.com/.
The “SP” stands for “Style Pantry” and true to the name it is full of deliciously creative, colorful and fashionable clothes. Several times a year she prepares a collection based around a color and theme. I have worn other items by her in previous posts. Because of her, my new favorite color is yellow and so I had to have this dress from the same collection the “Mimosa Yellow Bishop Sleeve Dress.” Yummy, sexy and comfortable.
Beautiful! Thank you for sharing and inspiring.
